Known quirks
- Speed-bumped LC 520 — same 14″ Trinitron AIO chassis with the 68030 clocked up to 33 MHz
- Sold to consumers as the Performa 550, which actually launched first (Oct 1993) ahead of the LC 550
- 5 MB RAM standard, only 36 MB max — same single-SIMM limit as the 520
- Still a 68030, so it tops out at Mac OS 7.6.1
- PRAM battery leak and aging analog-board caps are the usual restoration items
